Dear Nan and family: Our deepest condolences in the loss of Ted. He was in his last couple years of teaching at Houghton during my first couple, and his kindness and mentoring were wonderful gifts. It has been a joy to encounter him (and Nan) here and there in the years since his Houghton retirement--his caring spirit and embracing smile always brightened my day. We are so thankful for the many years he was able to enjoy retirement--church choir, barbershopping, square dancing, family. May God comfort you as you surely miss him. And may he rest in peace in the loving arms of the Heavenly Father.
