It was truly a pleasure getting to know Fred over the years. I will always remember the golf outings where his whit and occasional amazing golf shot left us smiling. We were so pleased and honored to have shared fathers day brunch with Fred, Paul and Brooke this year. Such a nice family. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the entire family.

It was our honor and privilege to get to know Fred when he was staying in Hammondsport in the last 7 years. He was a true gentleman, a hero and an excellent role model, not only for us but for our two daughters who are just as heartbroken at his passing! He was always kind and respectful to us and we were proud to call him a friend. We will all miss him, his stories and especially the times he just made us laugh! We are truly grateful that we had one more chance in Aug to go out to dinner with him, that was a blessing for us! Best and much love to Paul, Brooke and the rest of family, as heartbroken as we are, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Barb and Bill Yahn

My earliest childhood memories are of the Clarks. Fred and Audrey Clark's brood made Garden Ave., the best place in the world to grow up creating life long friends. One of my first childhood memories is Coach Clark and little league baseball. Coach Clark tried his best to teach me baseball, but more so life lessons ie., come late to a game and you sit and cheer the team on. I was never late again for a game. Fred and Audrey were fixtures at every high school athletic event that I can remember and if you couldn't see him wait a minute and you would hear Fred encouraging the home team, coaching, and possibly correcting the referees. I have very fond memories of Fred and the breadth of his knowledge local teams, players, pro sports and every sport reported on in the Times-Herald or any newspaper.
I loved best Fred's signature giggling laugh after being upset and realizing everything was good again.
Fred's heart was big and his pride in country and kids unquestionable. Fred served his country valiantly and family sacrificially. His reunion with Audrey leaves this world a gaping hole that will take a team to fill. I imagine now, Coach Fred Clark, coaching each of us to be on time, ready, and to get into the game.
