Obituary of Joseph L. Kacala

Hinsdale – Joseph L. Kacala "No Caption, Thank You" Joseph L. Kacala, of 4994 Union Hill Road, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at his home. Joseph was born on November 15, 1953 in North Tonawanda and was a son of Casimer E. and Emily Koziol Kacala. He was a 1971 graduate of North Tonawanda High School. Joseph worked as a mechanic, as well as, being an independent trucker for a number of years before moving to Lockport. He then became an over-the-road truck driver. Joseph moved to the Southern Tier and was well thought of as a friend and employee working for Ungermann Excavating Company of Cuba, NY as a truck driver as he worked for the past 10 years. Joseph enjoyed riding motorcycle and UTV. He also enjoyed working with his hands and was a very gifted craftsman and working around his home. Joseph formerly enjoyed hunting. He loved visiting his brother in the Carolinas and going to Florida to fish. Joseph was known as an easy going, hardworking person, who truly loved his brother and family. Joseph is survived by; his brother Casimer S. (Cathy) Kacala of Shallotte, NC; a nephew, Jeffrey C. (Karan) Kacala; and a niece, Holly E. (Rob) Horne. Joseph was predeceased by an infant sister, Diane Kacala. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc.,646 East State Street, Olean, on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, at which time a Memorial Service will be held.
