I spent 6 months at the Absolut of Allegany for rehabilitation after open-heart surgery. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Carol Dykstra. She and I hit it off right away, even where we were. She was always in good spirits and made everyone around her laugh. I asked her if she had always been that way and she said when she was young, they used to call her"giggles". I loved spending time with her, visiting and playing games, etc. I stopped in and visited after visiting my husband at the hospital and told her I missed her and she said the same to me. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and told her to behave herself but have fun. I told her I loved her and went on my way to visit others. Her daughters visited often and always were very friendly, and you could tell their mother was pretty important to them. I'm so glad I got to know her and tell her "I love her" before she left this world. She was priceless.

Karen, Pam and Sandy,
So sorry to hear about Carol. We are out of town so we will not make it to any of the services. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We have so many memories of Carol and our years at CUMC.
