Obituary of Donald Wayne Ingraham

Donald Wayne Ingraham, of 8010 Stewart Road, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at the Olean General Hospital. Donald was born Feb. 15, 1949 in Cuba and was a son of Cleon D. and Irma L. Cooper Ingraham. On April 12, 1992, in South Carolina, he married his loving wife, Gloria J. Ingraham, who survives. Donald graduated from Cuba Central High School in 1968. He served in the US Navy from Jan. 30, 1968 to Jan. 13, 1972. Donald worked as a police officer in Moss Point, Mississippi for several years before re-enlisting in the US Army from Jan. 4, 1982 to Jan. 5, 1983. After which time worked as a police officer in Tennessee for several years, before he began working as a truck driver. Donald first drove over the road for Shaffer Trucking and then Wiley Sanders out of Troy, Alabama. After they moved back to Cuba and he drove for the Stone Yard out of Massachusetts and then began driving for Stauffer's Cookies, where he retired from in 2013. Donald enjoyed NASCAR, and especially liked Tony Stewart, and drag racing. He also enjoyed old cars, he especially loved his 1971 Javelin, and traveling. Donald was very easy going, quiet, and thoughtful of others. He was always happy and in a good spirits. Along with his loving wife, Donald is survived by four children, Joseph A. Cody of Houston, TX, Christopher W. (Kerri) Cody of Anahuac, TX, James F. Ingraham of Castalia, NC, and Taunya S. (Joe) Leiseur of Belfast; eight grandchildren; and three siblings, Cleon Henry Ingraham of Belmont, William Ingraham of Friendship, and Victoria Ingraham of Cuba. Donald was predeceased by one brother, George F. Ingraham in 2009. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM, at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Mark Chamberlain, Pastor of the Genesis Bible Church will officiate. Burial will be in the West Clarksville Cemetery. Online condolences may be made by clicking the button above.
