Obituary of Mattie Faye Hajzak

Mattie Faye Hajzak, of 9540 Lafever Rd., formerly of the town of Niagara, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at the Olean General Hospital, following a brief illness.
Faye was born Oct. 9, 1944 in Andalusia, AL and was the daughter of William E. and Ida Ally Taylor. On June 28, 1963, in Elizabeth City, NC, she married her husband of 47 years, Leonard P. Hajzak, who predeceased her on Feb. 15, 2011.
Faye worked as a cashier for a number of grocery stores, including the Tops in the town of Niagara. She attended the Cuba First Baptist Church. Mattie enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and embroidery, but she especially loved spending time with her family.
Faye is survived by three children, Angela F. (Matthew Cyphers) Hajzak of Cuba, Michael E. (Christina Brzezinski) Hajzak of Ransomville, and Anthony "Scott" (Kristina) Hajzak of Newnan, GA; three grandchildren, Rachelle A. (Nicholas) Clark of Cuba, Brittany K. Hajzak of Newnan, GA, Airman, Nicklaus P. Hajzak Stationed at Ft. Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas; three great grandchildren, Shianne N. and Alana M. Clark and Alexandro R. Villanueva; and a twin brother, Earl Ray (Cathy) Taylor of Niagara Falls.
Along with her loving husband, Mattie was predeceased by two siblings, William E. Taylor, Jr. in 1972 and Willene I. LeVick in 2004.
A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville Florida. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #24 Genesee Parkway, Cuba, NY.
