Phillip Schoonmaker of 509 North 4th Street, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 in the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Mr. Schoonmaker was born on March 30, 1957 in Olean and was the son of Donald and Dorothy Copella Schoonmaker. Mr. Schoonmaker attended JCC, and was a Carpenter though out his life. He was currently working at Park Center Development. Mr. Schoonmaker was a member of the Olean Elks and Eagles Club and the Olean American Legion. Mr. Schoonmaker enjoyed fishing, his pet dog and he was also an avid NASCAR fan. Surviving Mr. Schoonmaker are five daughters, Wendy M. Laniyonou of Highteville, Maryland, Amy Lynn Schoonmaker of Olean, Faye J. Briggs of Olean, Ashley N. Schoonmaker of Waterbury, Connecticut, and Amanda Jordan of Olean; a brother, Joseph (Judith) Schoonmaker of Olean; two sisters, Linda L. (Harold) Dake of Olean, and Donna (Tom) Scott of Shinglehouse, PA.; and seven grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean The Rev. Jay Anthony Gilbert , Pastor of Rock of Revelation Church will officiate. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville, N.Y. Memorials may be made to the Genesis House 107 South Barry Street, Olean, N.Y. 14760.
