Obituary of Donna L. Clemons

Donna L. "Piggy Parks" Clemons of 102 West Spring Street, Apartment #12, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at the Pines Health & Rehab, following a lengthy illness. Donna was born Oct. 9, 1936 in Olean and was a daughter of Edgar and Annabelle Cobb Parks. She was formerly married to Orman W. Clemons, Jr. Donna worked for RCA electronics in Morristown, NJ before moving back to Olean in about 1990. She worked for ACME in Olean for several years before going to work at the Rehabilitation Center, where she was a house assistant for several years, until her retirement in about 2004. Donna was a former member of the Mt. Zion Church, where she volunteered in the Soup Kitchen. She was currently a member of the Epic Church. Donna enjoyed going to church, where she was a prayer warrior and went on short term missionary trip to both Egypt and New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina. She drove for Meals on Wheels and volunteered at Hopes Kitchen for 5 years. Donna was a very loving grandmother, who truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very giving person who would spread joy every day. Donna is survived by two children, Orman W. "Topper" (Stacy) Clemons, and Paris D. (Rev. Chuck) Maine both of Olean; seven grandchildren, Brandon Clemons, Brittani Clemons, Ezra Johnson, Aleeya Clemons, Alexi Clemons, Russell Maine, III, and River Maine; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara K. (Walter) Peterson of Olean. Donna was predeceased by a son, Otis Lamont Parks who died Aug. 2014; and two brothers, Edgar and Robert Odell Parks. Friends will be received at the Epic Church, 411 West Henley Street, Olean, on Saturday, March 6, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at which time a Going Home Service will be held. The Rev. R. Stanley Parks, will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean.
