Obituary of Jared R. Clark

Jared R. Clark of 3752 Karl Road, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the Buffalo General Hospital. Jared was born on March 29, 1935 in Olean and was a son of Jared H. & Marie Bean Clark. On Oct. 21, 1972 in Olean he married his wife of almost 38 years, Charry A. Robbins, who pre-deceased him on Oct. 11, 2010. Jared worked for the Cattaraugus County Highway Department for a period of time before moving to Riverside Ca. in 1962. While in Riverside he also worked in the highway department. Upon returning to Olean in 1968 he began working in the Maintenance department at the Olean General Hospital where he worked for about 5 years before going to work at Dresser Rand in Olean as a pipe fitter. He retired from Dresser in 2000 after 25 years with them. In addition to working his full time jobs he also did roofing & siding & general carpentry throughout his life. There wasn't anything he couldn't do on a house. He was very talented man. Jared not only enjoyed working but he also enjoyed hunting. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and especially his grandchildren and his dog Missy. Jared is survived by four daughters, Sharon (Steve) Carls of Allegany, Debbie (Carl) Margeson of Allegany, Margie Clark of Sun City California, and Jeanie Clark of Sunnymead, California; three sons, Robert Clark of Allegany, Jared Clark of Olean, and Jimmy Clark of California; many grand and great grandchildren; three brothers, Allan (Connie) Clark of Allegany, Donald Clark of Allegany, and Willie Clark of Olean; a sister, Joyce Larabee of Olean; and many nieces and nephews. Jared was pre-deceased by one brother, William Clark; and two sisters, Marion Ratzel and Gloria Readon. Fiends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State St., Olean, on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Robert Howard will officiate.
