Obituary of Cheryel A. Wilber

Cheryel A. Wilber of 4311 Five Mile Road, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 in the Erie County Medical Center following a brief illness. Cheryel was born on Nov. 10, 1949 in Olean and was a daughter of Gerald H. and Alyce Wilkinson Steadman. On May 31, 1975 in Hinsdale she married her husband Kinyon D. Wilber, who survives. Cheryel worked for Cattaraugus County Nursing Home in Olean in 1970's and St. Elizabeth Mother House for a number of years in the 1980's as an Aid. She became a volunteer at the Five Mile Baptist Church School and was a Cubby Leader on Monday Night's right up until she became ill in Nov. 2011. Cheryel enjoyed her church and her family and especially her grandchildren. Surviving Cheryel besides her husband of almost 37 years are a daughter, Jodi M. (Mike) Spencer of Olean; a son, Jassen C. Wilber of Pensacola, Fl; 3 � grandchildren, Darrick M., Austin M. and Logen M. Spencer; three sisters, Dawn (Vince) Metler of Lancing Michigan, Deborah (John) Barrett of New Cumberland, Pa., and Lynn Wolf of New Cumberland, Pa.; and several nieces & nephews. Friends will be received in the Five Mile Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at which time Funeral and Committal Services will be held. The Rev. Michael R. Sanders, Pastor, will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Five Mile Baptist Church 3624 Five Mile Road, Allegany, New York 14706.
