Obituary of Patricia A. Middaugh

Patricia A. Middaugh of 5644 Corbin Hill Road passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 shortly after arrival at the Jones Memorial Hospital following an apparent heart attack. Patty was born on June 3, 1963 in Olean. She was a daughter of William David and Dorothy Ann Potter Showers, Sr. On January 25, 1989, she married Leonard Wayne Middaugh, I, who survives. Patty graduated from Hinsdale Central School in 1981. In the mid 1990's, she went to BOCES for nursing. Patty worked at a number of different places including Cuba Memorial Hospital in the early 1990's and she worked in Private Home Care for several years. For the past couple of years she had been working as Respite Care for ARC in Wellsville. Patty was a member of the Belfast American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Patty also enjoyed her flowers, crocheting, singing, and riding horses. But most of all Patty's family was her whole life. She loved them & nurtured them and took care of them. She always put everyone else in her life first before her self. Patty will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Along with her loving husband, Patty is survived by her father, William D. Showers, Sr., who lived with her; three sons, Jason C. Middaugh of Belmont, Leonard Wayne Middaugh, II of Scio, and Bryce A. Middaugh of Scio; three brothers, Charles J. (Lorie) Bish of Gatesville, TX, Ernest Scott (Ruth) Bish of Olean, and William D. Showers, Jr. of Bradford, PA; three sisters, Bonnie L. (Sherman) Neal of Scio, Betty L. (Don) Langdon of Franklinville, and Zorrie J. (Chris) Blade of Scio; and many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Patti was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Ann Showers on March 4, 2009; a sister, Brenda Ann Randall on June 26, 2008; and an infant nephew, Charles R. Randall in 1974. Friends will be received on Friday, Jan. 6, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba. Funeral services will be held in Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at 10:30 am in the Maplehurst Baptist Church. The Rev. Terry L. Jenks, Pastor, will officiate.
