Shirley J. Hurlburt, of Billington Ave and most recently The Pines Health & Rehabilitation Center in Olean, passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012, in the Olean General Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Shirley was born on June 2, 1930 in Bolivar. She was raised by her Aunt Pearl and Ernest Montgomery in Bolivar. On Oct. 29, 1955, Shirley married her loving husband of nearly 57 years, Ronald F. Hurlburt, who survives. Shirley worked as a nurse at both the St. Francis & Olean General Hospitals for many years. She enjoyed cookouts, taking rides in the car and visiting different lakes in the area. Surviving Shirley besides her husband are many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Shirley was predeceased by one sister Verion Nicholas on 6/23/2001. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 East State Street, Olean on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at which time funeral services will be held.
