Betty Jean Halladay, 81, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 in the Pines Health and Rehab. Jean was born Oct. 16, 1930 in Wellsville and was the daughter of Leon and Esther Cline. She was formerly married to Walter Robbins. In 1962, Mrs. Halladay married William N. Halladay who predeceased her March 15, 1988. Jean worked at the Olean Tile Company, then later in the kitchen at Olean General Hospital for about 10 years. She loved and enjoyed planting flowers, but her true happiness was taking care of her family. Jean is survived by two sons, Howard D. (Jane) Robbins of Kingston, RI, and Thad D. Halladay of Erie, PA; one brother, Leon Cline, Jr. of Alma, NY; and several grandchildren. Along with her husband, Mrs. Halladay was predeceased by one daughter, Linda Robbins; two sons, Mike Robbins and William D. Halladay; and one brother, James Cline. There will be no public services at this time. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 4053 Maple Road, Suite 110, Buffalo, New York 14226.
