Obituary of Howard Mark Grandusky

Howard Mark "Hippie" Grandusky of 1106 � West State Street passed away, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at his home.
Howard was born June 6, 1948 and was a son of Howard J. and Alice K. O'Neill Grandusky, Jr. in Olean. He graduated from Allegany High School and resided in Olean for the majority of his life. Howard served in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict from May 21, 1968 to Feb. 7, 1969, where he received a Bronze Star.
Howard was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He was a sports enthusiast of football and basketball. Howard was an avid reader. "Howie" will be remembered by his many friends and for his many years as an Olean bartender, most recently at the Press Box.
Howard is survived by one sister, Lynn Marie "Kate" Grandusky Hennig of Gales Creek, OR; one niece, Shannon Hennig; and two nephews, Adrian Hennig & Justin Grandusky of TX.
Howard was predeceased by his parents, and his only brother, Kim Grandusky.
Family & friends will be received at the Press Box at 1110 West State Street, Olean on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm, for a celebration of "Hippie's" life.
