Obituary of Pauline L. Fadlalla

Pauline L. Fadlalla passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at the Pines Health and Rehab following a lengthy illness. Pauline was born July 16, 1930 in Olean and was a daughter of Aziz and Agnes John Fadlalla. She was a lifelong resident of Olean. Pauline attended St. Mary's Academy and was a 1948 graduate of Olean High School. She earned her RN at Arnot-Ogden Memorial Hospital School in 1951. Pauline earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at the University of Buffalo in 1968. Pauline worked at both the Olean General and St. Francis hospitals during her nursing career, and taught in the St. Francis Hospital School of Practical Nursing program. She later joined the Cattaraugus County Health Department as a Public Health Nurse, a position from which she retired in 1991. Following her retirement, Pauline worked for a while as a nurse at Dresser Rand. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Roman Catholic Church. Pauline is survived by one brother, Gerald J. (Christina) Fadlalla of Hawthorne, NJ; one sister-in-law, Eloise Fadlalla of Mobile, AL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pauline was predeceased by her father, Aziz Fadlalla in 1966; her mother, Agnes Fadlalla in 2001; one brother, George Fadlalla in 2005; and one sister, Florence Fadlalla in 2011. There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at St. Mary of the Angel's Catholic Church at 10:00 am. The Rev. Gregory J. Dobson, Pastor, will celebrate. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E.
