Obituary of Matt & Dorothea Conte

Having celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary together on June 11, 2011 life took an unexpected turn. Shortly thereafter Dorothea passed away on July 16, 2011 and Matt, exactly eight months later, on March 17, 2012. The loss of Matt, 85, and Dorothea, 81, of Glendale, Arizona has saddened friends and relatives alike leaving a void that will be difficult to replace. They will be greatly missed. Their wish was for their final resting place to be back home in the Allegany hillside at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Please join their son Mark and their daughter Lynne on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 12:00 pm for a celebration of Matt and Dorothea's life with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's of the Angels Church, where they were married in 1949. The Rev. Gregory Dobson will celebrate. From there we will proceed to the St. Bonaventure Cemetery for the final leg in their journey of life, to their final resting place together for eternity. Following the service all are invited to join family and friends at the St. Bonaventure Club House for refreshments and reminiscing.
