Obituary of Gary L. Cochran

Gary L. Cochran, 69, of Limestone, passed away May 15, 2012, from injuries sustained in a tractor accident at his home. Gary was born April 28, 1943 in Bradford, PA, he was raised by his mother and step father Alvin & Clara Buchanan, Falconer. Gary graduated Bradford High School class of 1961. He retired from the Laborer's Union of Pennsylvania after more than 30 years, but he continued working for the Laborer's Union of New York until about 2004, when he retired to work around his house and on his farm, which he enjoyed doing. Gary is survived by two sons, Alvin (Denise) Cochran of Limestone, and Paul (Jeanna) Cochran of Sugar Hill, GA; two daughters, Shirley Hatch (Dale Magee) of Rixford, PA, and Teresa (Darrell) Cockrell of DeCatur, AL; many grand and great grandchildren; one sister, Joy (John) Tarasek of Limestone, and his dog, Homer. At his request there will be no public services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department #1, 5886 Church Street, Limestone, NY 14753, Limestone Volunteer Fire Department #2, 580 Parkside Drive, Limestone, NY 14753, or the SPCA, 2944 Hinsdale Highway, Olean, NY 14760.
