Jeanette E. Childs of 1111 Spruce Street, passed away on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at home following an lengthy illness. Jeanette was born on July 1, 1937 in Olean and was a daughter of Albert and Louise Marshal Dutton. On Feb. 27, 1954 at St. Mary of the Angels Church she married Alfred G. "Tom" Childs, who survives. Jeanette attended Portville Central School. She worked in a number of places in the Olean area including Weston Shopper City, Ponderosa Restaurant. She worked as a hostess for over 7 years at The Castle Inn & Restaurant and retired when they closed. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Jeanette loved her husband and family and enjoyed being apart of their life's and especially her grand and great grandchildren lives where she would go to all their sporting events or just spending time with them. Surviving Jeanette besides her devoted husband of almost 58 years are a son, Tom A. (Kim) Childs of Olean; a daughter, Deborah A. (Martin) Case of Allegany; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leo Dutton of Florida, Kenneth (Nancy) Dutton of Cuba, and Gene (Beverly) Dutton of Florida; six sisters, Thelma (Robert) Carter of Florida, Waneta (Howard) Pixley of Florida, Louise (Chester) Sullivan of Olean, Marla Hogan of Florida, Vivian Papasergi of Allegany, and Betty (Bruce) Grahm of Florida. Jeanette was pre-deceased by two brothers Harold and Dennis Dutton There will not be any public visitation or serves and this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Home Care & Hospice care Network 1225 West State Olean, New York 14760, or to the Autism Society of America WNY Chapter #19 Limestone Drive #1, Williamsville, NY 14221 or to the American Red Cross.
