Gloria J. Charles, formerly of South Shore Rd., Cuba Lake, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Charles was born on May 4, 1930, in Bradford, Pa., the daughter of Carl and Enes (Perrine) Pietranton. In 1948, she graduated from the former St. Bernard High School of Bradford, Pa. On October 23, 1959 in Ripley, she married Blanchard Franklin Charles who predeceased her December 19, 1985.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed caring for her home and family.
Surviving Mrs. Charles are a son, Raymond C. (Suzanne) Charles of Allegany; a grandson, John F. Charles of Allegany; a sister, Esther (James) Morony of Erie, Pa; and two nieces.
At Mrs. Charles request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will be at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bradford, Pa. at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba.
