Gladys H. McIntosh, 100, of Beacon Pointe, formerly of 17 Windsor St. Cuba, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Beacon Pointe following a brief illness. Born in Sweden Township, Potter County, PA on July 11, 1907, she was a daughter of Erford C. and Ada M. Shaffer Holt. On July 30, 1938 at the Fillmore United Methodist Church she married Kenneth P. McIntosh who died November 20, 1962. Mrs. McIntosh previously lived in Olean for many years and operated a beauty shoppe prior to her retirement. She had also served as an Election Inspector in Olean. She had resided at Eden Heights in Olean before moving to Tampa in August, 2007. Mrs. McIntosh had been a 66 year member of Christ United Methodist Church in Olean beginning on December 7, 1941. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and traveling to Florida many times. Surviving Mrs. McIntosh are a son, Rex A. (Marcia) McIntosh of Ocala, Fl; a daughter, Enid G. (William) Nunamaker of Tampa, Fl.; five grandchildren, James (Melissa) Nunamaker of Tampa, Fl., Kenneth Nunamaker of Atlanta, GA., John Nunamaker of Largo, Fl., Wendy (William) Meyers of Peru, NY., and Beth McIntosh of Cuba, NY; four step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Mrs. McIntosh was predeceased by three sons, twin sons David P. & Keith P. McIntosh in 1945, and a son Carl E. McFarland in 1976; a brother, Earl Holt; and three sisters, Vada Holt, Lois Wagner, Edith Fillion. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Parkway, Cuba on Saturday July 5, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. The Rev. Kirsten A.R. Allen, Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Olean, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 633 Linwood Ave., Olean, N.Y. 14760 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
