Christine A. Ballard of 324 North 6th Street, Olean, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at home. Christine was born Dec. 30, 1953 in Olean and was a daughter of Kenneth and Thomasine Gughiocello Snyder. On April 1, 1986, she married John Orville Ballard who predeceased her on Dec. 5, 2002. Christine worked at Cattaraugus County Nursing Homes for over 28 years. She enjoyed traveling to the ocean and beaches, and NASCAR racing. Most of all, Christine truly enjoyed her time with her grandchildren. Christine is survived by three sons, Phillip S. Springsted, Jason M. Snyder, and Dave L. (Lisa) Springsted all of Olean; eight grandchildren; one brother, Angelo Gughiocello of League City TX; and two sisters, Rose Perry of Arizona, and Margaret Burton of Olean. Along with her husband, Christine was predeceased by an infant brother Joseph Snyder. Friends will be received Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State St., Olean from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Les Chambers, Pastor of the West Clarksville Baptist Church will officiate.
