Obituary of Florence M. Tuttle

Florence M. Tuttle of 289 Kinney Hollow Road passed away Tuesday Nov. 30, 2010 in the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Tuttle was born Feb. 16, 1922 in Belfast she and was a daughter of Floyd J. and Agnes May Hadsell Sortore. On Sept. 30, 1966 in Portville she married Stanley A. Tuttle who survives. Florence was a graduate of Belfast High School. She worked for a number of years at Motorola in Arcade. She enjoyed reading and especially her Bible, her pets, working around her home and planting flowers. Surviving besides her husband of 44 years are a daughter, Barbara J. (James) Rath of Kona, Hawaii; two sons, Rodney J. (Cathy) Evans of Pine City, NY, and John P. (Anneke) Chodan of Cohes, NY; a stepson, Ronald (Deanna) Tuttle of Hinsdale; and a sister, Elsie I. (Alva) Vogel of Belfast. Mrs. Tuttle pre-deceased by a son, Paul M. Evans in 2001; a daughter, Michelle L. Tuttle in Nov. 2, 1991; and a brother, Harry Sortore. Private Funeral and Committal Services where held today, Dec. 4, 2010 in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba. The Rev. Leslie E. Chambers, Pastor of the West Clarksville Baptist Church, officiated. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery Belfast, NY.
