Obituary of Eleanor L. Nutt

Eleanor L. Nutt of 832 Bishop Street, Olean passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in the Cuba Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Nutt was born on May 17, 1919 in Ischua, NY and was a daughter of Alva and Althea Williams Miller. On April 24, 1947 she married her husband of 37 years, Robert E. Nutt, who pre-deceased her on Oct. 8, 1984. Mrs. Nutt was a graduate of Delevan High School. She worked retail though out her life first at Loblaws, W.T Grants, His & Her Gift Shop and most recently at K-Mart for 18 years. She retired in 1999. Mrs. Nutt was a 50 plus year member of the Olean First Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Builder Sunday School Class. She enjoyed her flower garden, crocheting and she drove for Interfaith Care Givers and she also was a past member of the Order of the Amaranth. Surviving Mrs. Nutt are two sons, Ronald J. (Sharri) Nutt of Olean, and Gerald E. (Pamula) Nutt of Allegany; 6 grandchildren, Kevin J. (Sally) Nutt of Cuba, Keri L. (Gena) Spring of Allegany, Keith R. (Beth Harliman) Nutt of Olean, Gerald E. (Cindy) Nutt, Jr. of Jamestown, Jeffery D. Nutt of Allegany, and Michael J. Nutt of Allegany; four great grandchildren, Julianne M. Spring, Zachary J. Nutt, Gregory D. Spring and Morgan L. Nutt; a sister, Norma Witt of Avon; and two nieces and a nephew. Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean, on Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at which time Funeral and Committal Services will be held. The Rev. Daniel McDowell, Pastor for the First Baptist Church will officiate, Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
