Obituary of Daniel T. McCaffery

Daniel T. McCaffery of 8 North 6th Street, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 shortly after arrival at the Geneva General Hospital, Geneva NY from an apparent heart attack. Mr. McCaffery was a born on Feb. 17, 1957 in Olean and he was a son of Thomas and Anita Helmert McCaffery. On May 6, 1978 in St. Bonaventure Church he married Lynda L. Sander, who survives. Being a life long resident of Allegany, Danny was a 1975 graduate of Allegany High School. He worked for John's Distributing in Olean for the past 12 years. Danny truly loved his wife a children & grandchildren and enjoyed being around them and helping projects around there homes. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Surviving Mr. McCaffery besides his wife of 32 years and his parents of Allegany are a son, Derrick J. (Amanda) McCaffery of Olean; four daughters, Jenny M. Gardiner of Jamestown, Bridget L. (Shawn Mason) McCaffery of Bradford, Kayla A. McCaffery of Allegany, and Jolee A. McCaffery of Allegany; five grandchildren, Abbey M. Gardiner, Jacob D. McCaffery, Aiden R. Gardiner, Haylee Vorhees and Mya E. Mason; two brothers, David (Deb) McCaffery of Florida, and Jeff (Theresa) McCaffery of Allegany; a sister, Linda (John) Crisafulli of Allegany; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean, where Funeral and Committal Services will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM The Rev. Richard S. Husted, Pastor of St. Bonaventure Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Allegany, Cemetery, Allegany, NY In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
