Barbara A. Kougher of Olean passed away January 16, 2010 at home following an illness.
Mrs. Kougher was born June 5, 1936 in Olean, NY and was the daughter of L. Edward and Margaret Baker Smith. She was formerly married to Neal A. Kougher.
Mrs. Kougher was graduated from Olean High School class of 1954. She worked as at McGraw Edison for many years, retiring in 1980. Mrs. Kougher formerly attended St. Mary's of the Angels Church.
Mrs. Kougher was survived by a nephew, Michael R. (Sarah) Smith of Kingwood TX; a niece, Lieanne M. (Mark) Bennett of Geneva, NY; and several great niece & nephews.
Mrs. Kougher was predeceased by a daughter Lisa M. Kougher in 1985 and a brother Robert E. Smith in 1996.
At her request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SPCA Olean, NY.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean.
