Patricia A. Koebelin passed away peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2010. Born December 23, 1929, in Cuba, NY, she was the daughter of Hilda Wigent Clark, who passed away when Pat was two years old, and Harry J. Clark, who predeceased her in 1971. On April 27, 1951, in the First Methodist Church in Olean, Pat married L. Jack Koebelin, her loving spouse of 46 years, who died on January 10, 1998. Pat was a graduate of Olean High School, class of 1947. She joined the Salamanca Trust Company in September of 1969 and held numerous positions, including Loan Officer, until her retirement in February of 1992. Earlier in her working career, Pat had been employed as a receptionist at Socony Vacuum and as a secretary at KABAR Knives. In her retirement years, Pat especially enjoyed taking bus trips with the Allegany 60 Plus and Salamanca AARP groups. She also enjoyed taking care of her yard and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Pat had served as a driver for Meals on Wheels and was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Olean and a former member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Little Valley. In the 1960s, Pat and Jack co-founded the Salamanca See Saws square dance club and actively participated in that organization for many years. Pat was also the Past Secretary of the Allegany Valley Federation of Square Dancers. Surviving are her three children, David (Cathy) Koebelin of Allegany, Diane (Tom) Sasina of Endicott, NY and Donald (Tina) Koebelin of Guthrie, OK. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Scott Clark Sasina and Eric Sasina of Endicott and Jacob, Jenelle and Jillian Koebelin of Guthrie. The family will receive friends at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, 646 E. State St. in Olean on Thursday Nov. 11, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday Nov. 12, 2010 from 10 a.m. to noon, after which a celebration of her life will be held at the funeral home. The Rev. Marie Meeks, Pastor of the Bethany Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery, Allegany, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Olean Food Pantry, 8 Leo Moss Drive, Olean, NY 14760.
