Timmy S. Kirby of 2561 Rogers Road passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at home. Timmy was born on January 17, 1956 in Buffalo, NY and was the son of Charles Garnette and Bertha Sunderland. Mr. Kirby was a 1974 graduate of Emmerson High School in Buffalo. He worked for Dresser Clark in Olean as a crane operator for about 10 years before moving to Waco, TX in 1985. While in Waco he worked for Warner Machine as a forklift operator. Timmy returned to Hinsdale in 2006 and has been currently working at the Old Library Restaurant as a prep-cook and dishwasher. He enjoyed working around his house, fishing, riding motorcycle and having a good time with family and friends. Surviving are a son, Timmy S. Kirby of Olean; a daughter, Alison Garnette of Waco, TX; three grandchildren, Paris J. Kirby, Madison M. Kirby and Phillip J. Kirby; three brothers, Ronald (Velma) Kelley of Cuba, John (Lori) Kelley of Belfast, NY; and Wilson B. Morales of St. Petersburg, FL; three sisters, Mary Kelley of Wellsville, Sherrie A. Barth of Belfast, NY, and Val M. (Roger) Morales of Hinsdale; a loving companion, Sue MacNeal with whom he lived; and many nieces and nephews. Timmy was predeceased by a son, Phillip J. Kirby who died Aug. 31, 2009. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 9:00-11:00 AM at which time funeral and committal services will be held. The Rev. Barry Allaire will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 36105-1905.
