Jerome W. Donnelly of 1121 Apt. 7 Carmelita Dr., Burlingame, CA., formerly of Olean, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010. Mr. Donnelly was born March 21, 1950 and was the son of John (Frank) & Harriette Vales Donnelly, who pre-deceased him. He was a 1968 graduate of Olean High School and a 1972 graduate of Syracuse University. Jerry was employed for many years as a recruiter, employed over the years by Honeywell, Kinkos and most recently by Lamps Plus in San Mateo. Jerry loved the west coast, especially the city of San Francisco. He was an accomplished cook, who often cooked for his friends, relatives and co-workers. He especially enjoyed taking long walks around the city, the California coast line and in the mountains. Jerry loved reading the works of Mark Twain, Jack London, and Jack Kerouac. He was especially proud of the sports teams of Syracuse University. Go Orange! Jerry is survived by a twin sister, Cynthia (Mike) McCann of Allegany; a brother, Brian (Nancy) Donnelly of Olean; three sisters, Jean (Fred) Fox of Park City, Utah, Amy (John) Phillips of Grapevine, Texas, and Tania (Doug) Kierklewski of Austin, Texas; five aunts, Lillian Vales (John) Ford, Clara Vales, Gloria Vales (Jack) Kehoe, Kate (William) Donnelly and Betsy (Paul) Donnelly; an uncle, Jack Kehoe; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home Inc. 646 E. State St., Olean, on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Gregory J. Dobson, Pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
