Obituary of June M. Wright

June M. Wright of 959 Ward Lane, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 in the Unity Health System Hospital in Greece following an illness. June was born May 30, 1929 in Eldred, PA and was a daughter of Lloyd and Virginia Letson Leete. On April 15, 1949 in Olean she married her husband of almost 48 years, Norman E. Wright, who predeceased her Feb. 24, 1997. June was a graduate from Olean High School in 1947. She worked for Lang's Restaurant for about 10 years. She then went to work for Olean Public Schools first in the cafeteria in the Middle School and then the High School cafeteria where she retired as the head baker in 1994. June was a member of the South Side Chapel for over past10 years. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the quilting club for many years. She also enjoyed flowers, going to church, her dog, and humming birds. June is survived by two sons, Norman C. Wright and Greg B. Wright both of Olean; two daughters, Deborah J. (Kurt) Ireland of Olean, and Laurie A. (Gary) Wright-Perrin of Avon; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; and one sister, Rosie (Bruce) Crandall of Cuba. Along with her loving husband, June was predeceased by one sister, Louise Warfield. Friends will be received on Wednesday April 3, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean, where Funeral and Committal Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am. The Rev. David W. Herne, Pastor of the Southside Chapel, will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the South Side Chapel, 647 South Union Street, Olean, New York 14760.
