Obituary of Lelia J. Wilson

Lelia J. Wilson of 609 E. State St., Olean, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013. Lelia was born to on Aug. 25, 1934 in Mentor, OH, and was a daughter of Ray and Theresa Hill Lette. On May 30, 1961, she married her husband of 51 years, Norman A. Wilson who survives. Lelia was a home maker and she loved to embroider and play bingo. She was an avid Bills & Yankees fan. Lelia also loved to fish, but most of all she loved her whole family. Along with her loving husband, Lelia is survived by two daughters, Marcia (Doug) Keppel of Leon, and Victoria (John) Irons of Olean; four grandchildren, Doug (Holly) Keppel, Shawn Keppel, Jeremy Sturm, and Jerrica (Jesse) McKune; three great grandchildren, Kaylee Keppel, Eden McKune, and Fiona McKune; one sister, Mary Ellen (Albert) Blakeslee; and many nieces and nephews. Lelia was predeceased by two sons, Rick and Paul; two brothers, William and Maynard Appleton; and two sisters, Nettie May and Lolly Appleton. Friends will be received, Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at the Mt. Zion Christian Assembly, 361 Front Street, Olean, New York from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at which time Funeral Services will be held. The Rev. Stephen A. Patrick, Pastor will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made by clicking on the button above.
