Mary A. Seybert of 629 Route 16 South, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 in the Pines Health & Heb. Center in Olean. Mrs. Seybert was born Dec. 2, 1929 in Buffalo and was a daughter of John and Myrtle Ruby Donahue. On Nov. 26, 1952 at the Trinity Methodist Church in Knapp Creek she married her husband of almost 51 years, Leroy B. Seybert, who predeceased her April 22, 2003. Mary was a 1948 graduate of Olean High School. She then graduated from West Brook Academy in 1950. Mary worked first for the Exchange National Bank for 5 years and then at the Sears & Roebuck Store on North Union Street for 15 years as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1993. Mary was known as a very good cook and she enjoyed gardening and being a big part of her grandchildren's lives. She attended the Wellsville Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a member of the Allegany Rebecca's lodge. Mrs. Seybert is survived by two daughters, Nancy L. (Roger) Green of Portville, and Diana M. (Loni) Ours of Eldred, PA; six grandchildren, Kristie (Alpha) Toothman, Nathan Bigler, Cody (Drew) Taylor, Matthew Green, Brandy McCaffery and Michael Green; and two great grandchildren, Payton Bigler & Olivia Taylor. Along with her loving husband, Mary was predeceased by one brother, James Donahue; and one sister, Virginia Glass. Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery Veterans Field of Honor next to her husband Leroy. A Celebration of her Life will be held in the future at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, #646 E. State Street Olean. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
