Adelita T. Pascual passed away Wednesday April 24, 2013 at the Pines Nursing Home Olean surrounded by her loving family.
Adelita was born July 12, 1946 in the Philippines and was a daughter of Pablo and Concha Sanchez Tecson. On Nov. 7, 1982 in the Philippines, she married her husband of almost 31 years, Reynaldo Pascual, who survives.
Adelita received her Bachelor's of Science Degree from Manila Central University in Manila, Philippines in 1968. She worked at St. Francis Hospital from 1972 to 1982. In 1982 Adelita returned to Philippines until 1987. Upon returning to Olean she started working at the Olean General Hospital, where she remained for the next 25 years as a medical technologist. She always stated that she loved her job.
Adelita was a member of the St. Mary of Angels Church where she and her husband volunteered for their annual spring festival, where they were known for their Filipino food. Adelita and her husband Ray where known for their hospitality in welcoming new Filipino families coming to the area. She was a civic minded person, who was known as always giving to others and sending things back to the Philippines.
In addition to her loving husband, Adelita is survived by one brother, Pablo (Naty) Tecson II of the Philippines; one sister, Leticia (Felix) Santos of the Philippines; and several nieces and nephews. She was a most loving Godmother to Nicolas Ilustre.
Adelita was predeceased by three brothers, Pablo Tecson I, Renato Tecson, & Mariano Tecson, Sr.
Friends will be received Friday April 26, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 27, 2013 at 10:00 am in St. Mary's of the Angels Church. The Rev. Gregory J. Dobson will celebrate.
