Obituary of Brittany L. Malone

Brittany L. Malone of 516 North 1st Street passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 shortly after arrival at the Olean General Hospital. Brittany was born Jan. 20, 1987 in Olean, and was a daughter of Robert W. and Christina M. Gilroy Malone. Brittany worked at Wendy's Restaurant and Reid's Food Barn. She enjoyed art, knitting, and music. Brittany loved her family and was known to have an infectious smile. Brittany is survived by her father and step mother, Robert W. and Jessica Malone of Olean; her mother, Christina M. Malone of Olean; one daughter, Kionah R. Malone of Olean; her maternal grandfather and step grandmother, Dr. William (Trudy) Gilroy of Cuba; her maternal grandmother; Joyce Gilroy of Olean; paternal grandfather, Robert Malone of Elmira; one brother, Gregory J. Kahle Stationed in Germany; three sisters, Ashley M. Malone, Corrie E. Malone, and Gabrielle J. Malone all of Olean; and many cousins. Brittany was predeceased by paternal grandmother, Corrie Peterson on Oct. 6, 1990; and one cousin, Michael Parks on Aug. 7, 2000. Friends will be received at the Mt. Zion Christian Assembly today, Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday Jan. 16, 2013 from 12 noon to 2:00 pm at which time Funeral Services will be held. The Rev. Stephen A. Patrick, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery, Allegany, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to STEL 715 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, New York, 14048.
