Obituary of Laura L. Lindsey

Laura L. Lindsey of 304 West Baldwin Avenue passed away, Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at her home following a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Laura was born April 4, 1957 in Olean and was a daughter of William and Patricia Taylor Lindsey. Laura graduated from Olean High School in 1975. She graduated from SUNY College of Technology at Alfred in 1977 with a Business Degree. Laura worked for AVX for a number of years before going to work in the Alumni Office at St. Bonaventure University. She then worked as Nurse's Aid at the St. Elizabeth Motherhouse in Allegany and became interested in nursing. She went back to school at Alfred State and received her Degree in Nursing in 2007. Laura then worked as an RN at the Olean General Hospital and then after moving to Raleigh NC where she worked as a RN at the Rex Hospital. Laura moved back to Olean in 2012. She enjoyed to read and to go bowling and she loved to take cruises. Laura is survived by one sister, Linda Sue Alaimo of Olean. Laura was predeceased by a brother, Leslie E. Lindsey on April 27, 1974. It was Laura's request that there will be no Public Visitation or Funeral. There will be a Celebration of her Life this summer at a date & time to be announced.
