Bradley J. Jerge, local businessman and farmer of 9177 County Road 23, passed away at home on the farm where he grew up on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 after a long illness. Brad was born October 3, 1955 in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of James J. and Dolores (Boltz) Jerge. On August 27,1983 in Rushford, he married the love of his life, Tracy J. Hamer, who survives. Together they owned and operated their farm and also B & T Recycling of Rushford. Brad truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Bradley leaves behind his loving wife of 29 years, Tracy (Hamer) Jerge; three sons, Bradley J. Jerge, Jr., Timothy L. (Penny Young) Jerge, and Darrell J. Jerge; two daughters, Heather (Rick) DeLude, and Samantha M. (John Hollowell) Jerge; nine grandchilden, Brianna, Ashley, Tiffany, Taylor, Trinity, Cole, Arianna, Kirk, & Zhane; several nieces and nephew; and grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters Jacqueline (Jerge) Gruber and Barbara (Jerge) Dunning; and a brother James J. Jerge, Jr. A memorial service will be held, Sat. March 2, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Bible House in Rushford, (across from the school). The Rev. Howard Lockwood will officiate. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Wellsville Manor for their fine care while Brad was a resident there. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tracy Jerge at 9177 County Road 23 Houghton, NY 14744 to help with expenses.
