Mary C. Hatch of 312 Coleman St., passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Olean General Hospital, following an illness. Mary was born May 11, 1944 in Buffalo and was a daughter of Charles and Mitilda Karowitz Cappelletti. On April 3, 1982 in Allegany, she married her husband of 31 years, Bryan W. Hatch, who survives. Mary was 1962 Graduate of Portville Central School. She attended both Albany State University and ST. Bonaventure University. Mary worked as a graphic artist first at McKean Machinery, The Cuba Patriot and then for Olean Wholesale, where she retired from in 2009. Mary was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church for many years and acted as the church secretary for the past year. She was a Board Member of the local chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and also a board member at the Portville Food Pantry and was a volunteer at the Genesis House in Olean. She enjoyed gardening, needle point and she loved her cats. Mary will be remembered by her family and friends as kind and caring person. In addition to her loving husband, Bryan, Mary is survived by one brother, Charles M. (Barbara) Cappeletti of Olean; and three nephews, Anthony, Christopher & Ryan Cappeletti. Mary was predeceased by one sister, Teresa Harmon on May 24, 2012. Friends will be received Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, #646 E. State St., Olean from 4 pm to 7 pm. Funeral and Committal Services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Portville at 11:00 am. The Rev. Ivy M. Gauvin, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bethel Lutheran Church 79 Brooklyn Street, Portville, NY 14470 or to the Western New York Chapter of the National Kidney Foundation, 310 Packetts Landing, Fairport, NY 14450-1567.
