Evelyn M. Ford formerly of 105 West Green Street passed away Friday May 3, 2013 at the Absolut of Allegany following an illness.
Evelyn was born November 30, 1922 in Franklinville and was a daughter of Harry and Flossie Williams Ford. She was a 1940 graduate of Ten Brock Academy. Evelyn worked at the St. Francis Hospital beginning in 1941 and retired in 1991 fifty years later as a Dietary Aid. Evelyn attended St. John's Lutheran Church and she loved to read.
Surviving are her, sister Bette E. Finger of Olean; a nephew, Edward Finger III; a niece, Christina Palmer; great nieces and nephews; and close friends, Glenda (Kenneth) Pierce of Olean.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. Tuesday May 7, 2013 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at which time a funeral service and committal services will be held. The Rev. Daniel J. Burningrud, Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Allegany NY. Burial will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville, NY. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Activities Group Department at the Absolut of Allegany, 2178 North Fifth Street, Allegany, NY 14706.
