Susan L. Emerson formerly of Allegany and Eden Heights passed away on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 in the Pines Health & Rehab in Machias. Susan was born on November 2, 1948 in Salamanca and was a daughter of Francis Wade and Fern Grantier Emerson. She was a graduate of Franklinville High School in 1966. She began working right out of high school for the Craig Developmental in Sonyea, NY, where she worked for 17 years until 1983 when she became injured. Susan was a member of the Harvest field Out Ministries. She enjoyed bowling, doing puzzles but most of all she treasured her family and going to family gathering with them. Surviving Susan are a sister, Myrna R. (Bruce) Srigley of Allegany; and two nephews, Curtis L. (Julie) Simons of Salamanca, and Frank J. Simons of Paint Rock, Texas. Susan was pre-deceased by a brother, Francis R. Emerson on Aug. 10, 2011; and a niece, Mary E. King in 1993. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, Sep. 28, 2013 at the Harvest Field Outreach Center #406 West State Street, Olean, New York 14760 at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Douglas Travis, Pastor of the Harvest Field Outreach Center, will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E.
