Obituary of Lawrence B. Stafford

Lawrence B. Stafford 87, passed away on September 10, 2009 following an illness. Mr. Stafford was born Feb. 16, 1927 in Whitesville and was a son of Thomas and Sarah Salena Stafford. Mr. Stafford had lived in Whitesville, NY; Horseheads, NY; Lewisburg, PA; and retired to Holly Hill, FL in 1985. He worked as Territorial Manager for Farm Equipment. After retirement he enjoyed Woodworking making wooden toys and puzzles. He enjoyed traveling in his motorhome with his companion of 25 years Eleanor Wetherbee. He was a member of Rotary International in Lewisburg, PA. Survivors include Donald T. (Theresa) Stafford of Holly Hill, FL., Sandra (Vic) Panzarella of City Island, NY., Joan (Gene) Lurwig of Danielsville, GA., Barbara Stafford of Hagerstown, MD., James L. Stafford of Milmont, PA., Larry Ed (Mary) Stafford of Blythewood SC., 19 grand children, 15 great-grand children, and 6 great-great grand children. He was predeceased by father and mother, two brothers Howard and Rockwell; sisters Alice and Orael; and wife Marjorie. Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #24 Genesee Pkwy Cuba, on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Sam Goeble, Mr. Stafford's Nephew will officiate. Burial will be in the Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, NY.
