Nancy C. Slaughenhaupt, age 57, of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Mount Carmel Medical & Rehabilitation Center in Burlington. She was born February 29, 1952 in Gowanda, New York, to the late George R. and Ione S. (nee Hunt) Slaughenhaupt. Nancy had been a long term resident at Shepherds Home & School in Union Grove.
Survivors include her siblings, Donald Slaughenhaupt of Mortons Corners, NY, George Russell Slaughenhaupt of Eden, NY, John Slaughenhaupt of Panama City, FL, Edward Slaughenhaupt of Gunnison, CO, Patricia Couch of Emory, TX, Loreen Parsons of Great Bend, PA, Judy Childs of Dimmitt, TX, Linda Rushing of Duluth, GA, Cynthia Delgado of Coos Bay, OR and Mary McGrath of Maine, NY. She is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley Amacher.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, 646 East State Street, Olean, NY, with Pastor Ed Slaughenhaupt officiating. Burial will follow at Lamphier Cemetery in Eldred, PA. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 12:30 PM until the time of service.
