John R. Hebdon of 7820 Tug Hill Rd. passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008 in the Olean General Hospital. Mr. Hebdon was born on March 30, 1960 in Springville and was a son of Milfred and Shirley DeGroff Hebdon. On June 10, 1995, in Springville, N.Y, he married his wife Cindy L. Brooks, who survives him. Mr. Hebdon served in the U.S. Army from April 4, 1979 to June, 17, 1982. He worked as a seasonal laborer at the Kling Smith Nursery - East Concord. Mr. Hebdon enjoyed Hunting , fishing, trapping and Gardening. Surviving Mr. Hebdon besides his wife are his parents, Milfred R. and Shirley L. Hebdon of Machias; two sons, Benjamin Hebdon of Machias and Jeremy Hebdon; three daughters, Brandi Hebdon of Machias, Sarah Hebdon of Machias, and Amanda Hebdon; four sisters, Brenda A. Hebdon of Jamestown, Phyllis R. (Larry) Johnson of Mansfeild, Sharon L. (Tom Wittmeyer) Detrick of North Collins, and Joann M. (Dan) Jackson of Pittsburg, P.A.; several nieces & nephews, aunts & uncles and cousins. Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the Franklinville Alliance Church, from 10:00 to 11:00A.M., at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Stephen J. Hall, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery, West Valley.
