Obituary of James W. Gross

James W. Gross of East Riverside Dr. passed away Tuesday June 17, 2008 of an apparent heart attack while doing exactly what he loved, fishing in the Adirondacks with his family. Mr. Gross was born on October 25, 1947 in Olean and was the son of Fred O. and Hattie Rader Gross. Mr. Gross is a graduate of Cuba Central School. He worked for Dal-Tile for 40 years. Mr. Gross was Vice President of United Steel Workers Local 151 and a lifetime member of Cuba Rod & Gun Club, NRA, and the North America Hunt Club. Mr. Gross enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family & friends and especially his grandchildren. Mr. Gross is survived by two sons, Michael J. (Sandra L.) Gross of Cleveland, NC and Anthony Gross of Kissimmee, Fl.; nine brothers & sisters, Ann Collicio of California, Ron (Marlyn) Gross of Olean, Doug (D. Judy) Gross of Cuba, NY, Bonnie (Jim) Pascucci of Olean, Debbie J. Tyler of Olean, Cindy (Larry) Johnston of Allegany, NY., Fred Gross of W. Clarksville, NY., Joe (Gloria) Gross of Cuba, NY., and Mark (Rhonda) Gross of Cuba, NY.; two grandsons, Dustin & Brandon Gross; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gross is predeceased by his parents and a brother George Gross. Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, on Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. in the Maplehurst Baptist Church. The Rev. Terry Jenks, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Bellville Cemetery, New Hudson, NY.
