Donald H. Lochte of 33 Orchard Street, Cuba passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at home following a long illness. Mr. Lochte was born on Aug. 14, 1930 in Buffalo and was a son of Andrew H. and Bertha McCann Lochte. He was formerly married to Pamela A. Gedbaw. Mr. Lochte worked at Moog Valve in Elma, NY for a number of years before go to work as a counselor for the West Seneca Developmental Center until his retirement in 1985. Following his retirement from the state he moved to Cuba in Nov. 1986. Mr. Lochte was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, hunting & fishing. He also built and repaired clocks and enjoyed working in his wood shop. Mr. Lochte was known for "Everything has a place and everything in its place". Mr. Lochte was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Buffalo and the Cuba Rotary Club. Surviving Mr. Lochte is a son, Keith Lochte of Ocoee, Fl.; and two nephews, Dennis H. (Karen) Yoder of Almond, and Kenneth (Mary) Yoder of Alden. Mr. Lochte was pre-deceased by a sister Shirley Yoder on Oct. 10, 2003. At his request there will be no public visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. 24 Genesee Pkwy. Cuba.
