Mrs. Miriam D. Geuder of 943 Prospect Ave. Olean, N.Y., passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Geuder was born on May 24, 1913 in Martinsburg, WV. She was the daughter of Charles R. & Rose McKinnie Davison. On August 1, 1938 in Olean she married Clarence H. Geuder, who predeceased her on May 27, 1986. Miriam moved to Olean in 1926 and four years later she graduated from Olean High School then went on to graduate from Buffalo State Teachers College in 1934. She taught in local elementary schools for 13 years. Mrs. Geuder was a long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Ruth Guild, Olean Retired Teachers, New York Retired Teachers, and the Olean General Hospital Guild. Surviving Mrs. Geuder are two sons, James C. Geuder of Raleigh, NC and Douglas M. Geuder of Granby, CT; four granddaughters, one great grandson; one great granddaughter; special nephew, William Kinley; and several nieces & nephews. Mrs. Geuder was predeceased by her brothers Hart M. Davison & William M. Davison. There will be no public visitation, there will be a private family funeral service at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery, Allegany NY. Memorials may be made to Olean General Hosptal. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean.
