Obituary of Robert L. Fahy

Robert L. Fahy of 3795 Birth Run Road, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at home following an apparent heart attack. Born Dec. 13, 1935 in Olean he was a son of Ralph and Nellie Pierce Fahy. On Sept. 24, 1960 in Olean, he married the former Juanita Fern Peck, who predeceased him on October 8, 2002. He served in the U.S. Navy in the mid 1950's. He worked on Interstate 17 with the teamsters. Mr. Fahy was a truck driver with Olean Beer Supply for more than 20 years. He retired in about 2000. Mr. Fahy enjoyed hunting & fishing, playing cards and he loved his dog "Maggie". Surviving Mr. Fahy are two sons, Sam L. (Lisa) Fahy, and David J. (Jacqueline) Fahy both of Allegany; three granddaughters, Courtney, Anjalyn and Sara Fahy; three grandsons, Corey Fahy, and Justin and Joshua First; a sister, Jean Peck of Allegany; a brother, Mike Fahy of Olean; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Fahy was pre-deceased by a brother Ralph Fahy. Friends will be received in the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. #646 E. State Street, Olean on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at which time funeral and committal services will be held. The Rev. Rick Price will officiate. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Allegany Fire Department.
