Mr. Grant Cassidy, Jr. of 1253 Rt. Olean-Portville Road, Weston Mills passed away on Thursday April 23, 2009 at his home. Mr. Cassidy was born on January 31, 1952 in Jacksonville, FL and he was the son of Grant and Gertrude Giles, Cassidy, Sr. Mr. Cassidy was a 1972 graduate of Hinsdale Central School. He had been employed by Rieds Food Barn and Tops Market as a produce manager. He also worked as a housing supervisor for a number of housing complexes in the U.S. Mr. Cassidy was an avid fan of NASCAR with favorite drivers being Bill Elliott & Kasey Kahne and was a Buffalo Bills fan. He also found enjoyment in coin collecting and flowers. Surviving Mr. Cassidy is his mother; one son, Jamie (Julie) Riley of Hinsdale; two grandchildren, Kaleb and Jacob Riley; two brothers, Randy L. (Kimberly) Cassidy of Allegany, and Larry D. (Sue) Cassidy of Hinsdale; two Sisters, Linda D. (Gary) Beardsley of Gastonia N.C., and Karen S. (Bob) Powers of Box Elder S.D.; and several nieces & nephews. Mr. Cassidy was pre-deceased by his father. Friends will be received on Sunday April 26, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. 646 East State Street, Olean where Funeral and Committal Service will be held on Monday April 27, 2009 at 11:00AM. The Rev. Ronald L. Reichman, will officiate. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba N.Y.
