Obituary of Rose Mary Bowker

Rose Mary Bowker of 90 South Main St. Apt. 211 passed away on Sunday March 1, 2009 shortly after arrival at Olean General Hospital.
Mrs. Bowker was born on October 24, 1932 in Friendship N.Y. and was a daughter of Frank and Gladys Wheeler Speta. On October 28, 1950 she married her husband of 22 years, James Huling Bowker who passed away in 1972.
Mrs. Bowker attended Richburgh Central School. She worked at Macler Ind. for over 25 years where she retired from 1994 as Core maker and dye press operator. Mrs. Bower later worked as a home health aid at Jane and Bev's. Home care Inc. of Wellsville.
Mrs. Bowker enjoyed shopping, especially like spending time and taking care of her grandchildren.
Mrs. Bowker is survived by one son, James E. (Sue) Bowker of Cuba; five daughters, Bonnie L. (Keith) Tarr of Allegany, Jeannie M. (Don) Ives of Cambridge Springs, PA.; Connie A. Bowker of Wellsville, Kathy S. (Randy) Slade of Scio, and Evelyn Bowker of Wellsville; one brother, Ralph (Janie) Speta of Cuba; one sister, Edwina (Dennis) Allen of Cuba; seventeen grandchildren; and thirty-six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bowker is pre deceased by her husband, James Huling Bowker in 1972; one son, Robert Edward Bowker on 9/11/2007; two sisters, Dormay Crawford and Joanne Speta.
Celebration of life for friends and family will be held at Wellsville Moose Lodge, 242 Maple Ave. at 1:00P.M. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009. All friends and family are welcome.
