Karen M. Nitsche, of 208 E. Oak St., passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at the Olean General Hospital, following an illness. Karen was born on Feb. 20, 1952 in Olean and was a daughter of Robert W. and Sabina A. Kwiatkowski Nitsche. She worked as a waitress for many years at Roxy's, Lucia's, and Breadstix. Karen was formerly a member of St. Mary's Parish. She enjoyed traveling to California to visit friends, but she truly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson. Karen is survived by a daughter, Sabrina A. Nitsche of Sugar Grove, PA; a grandson, Dean M. Allen; two sisters, Shirley A. Nitsche and Roberta L. McKaffee both of Olean; a brother, William G. (Lisa) Nitsche of Portville; many nieces & nephews; and her best friend of 60 Years, Joyce Coast Oakes, whom she talked to every day, of Oceanside, CA. A Private Graveside Service will be held at St. Bonaventure at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E.
