Sharon L. LaPolt, of 164 E. Union St., passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at the Wellsville Manor Care Center, following a lengthy illness.
Sharon was born on April 28, 1954 in Buffalo and was a daughter of Robert and Nina Schreiber LaPolt. She attended high school in the South side of Buffalo.
Sharon moved to Allegany in 1981 and went to school through BOCES and Olean Business Institute for Medical Billing. She began interning at St. Frances Hospital and continued working at St. Frances through the merger with Olean General Hospital. Sharon Also worked at the Bradford Regional Medical Center until 2012 when she retired due to illness after more than 35 years.
Sharon enjoyed going to the casino, hunting, and playing bingo, but her family was most important to her, and she loved being with them and spending time with them.
Sharon is survived by; 2 children, Jaime L. (James) Walton and James R. (Heidi) Reska both of Allegany; 5 grandchildren, Alexis, Bradley, Brayden, Colton, & Jackson; 3 sisters, Jacqueline (Dave) Kosteck of Buffalo, Judy (Norm) Burlingame of Texas, , and Linda LaPolt of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at which time a Memorial Service will be held.
