Rosella H. Kinsey, 95, of 179 North 2nd Street, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, following a brief illness. Rosella was born May 27, 1921 in Eldred, PA and was a daughter of Nathan and Blanche Coffin Hyatt. On March 8, 1938 in Allegany, she married her husband of 34 years, Mitchell Simon, who predeceased her on July 30, 1972. On September 28, 1973, in Delevan, she married her husband of 43 years, Edward J. Kinsey, who survives. Rosella graduated from Eldred in 1937. She was formerly a member of the St. Joseph's Church for over 50 years. Rosella lived in Florida for 25 years and returned to Allegany in 2006. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and going to the beach, but most of all she loved her family and enjoyed being with her loving family and friends. Along with her loving husband, Rosella is survived by three daughters, Karen L. (Steve) Johnson of Cape Canaveral, FL and Chatauqua Lake, Christine A. Simon of Tuscon, AZ, and Michelle R. (Gary) McCready of Allegany; two stepdaughters, Sandra H. (Robert) Martiny of Franklinville, and Sharon L. McAfee of Allegany & FL; seven grandchildren, Stephen (Alisha) Chicola of Jacksonville, FL, Jeffrey Chicola of Jacksonville, FL, Gretchen M. Spencer of Olean, Carrie Ann (Vinnie) Dombeck of Allegany, Michael (Tiffany) McAfee of Allegany, Patrick James "PJ" (Bridgette) McAfee of Allegany, and Jennifer Martiny of West Seneca; thirteen great grandchildren; and five great great granchildren. Rosella was predeceased by a grandson, David Chicola in 1988; and three sisters, Louise Rowe, Doris Ingram, and Phyllis Siffrinn. A Private graveside service was held at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery With the Rev. Anthony J. Salim officiating. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph's Church, #1102 Walnut Street, Olean, New York 14760 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
